“Bismillah, Alhumdulilah me and my seven year old daughter Laila Fatima had an amazing trip with Footsteps to Jannah. We’ve been to Iraq several times before with different groups and Alhumdulilah all those experiences were good as well. For this trip however, I was looking for a group who caters to younger kids, F2J understood our needs and definitely put together a program which was for the younger zuwars. They made every effort to make this journey comfortable and spiritually enlightening for us and our children. My duas for this amazing team, inshaAllah you all get the reward for selflessly serving the zuwars of Aba Abdullah (AS).”

" It was awesome. Lectures, going to harams, listening to nawhas. Peace. Thats how i felt. Peace. I also felt sadness and loneliness but I dont know why i felt it. I just did. Thanks to all the organisers. I really felt comfortable with everyone in the group. Usually i only feel comfortable with my mum but everyone in this group was like a parent. I personally think that F2J did some good planning. The only thing I advise you to do is dont go to the haram in the afternoon because it is too hot. kids will not like it. You did a very good job on this project. You chose very nice people to come. From Imran Datoo to Syed Ali Abbas Razawi, you did a good job. Thank you -

On the night of the 13th Rajab, me and my family spent the night in the Haram of Imam Ali, I felt at peace and we sat there at ease, reciting the Quran and various ziyarats. The next day, which was the day of Imam Ali's kushali, we went to the haram again. In the afternoon was the Footsteps2Jannah program, there was beautiful recitations and a great majlis. My sister did a beautiful recitation of the our first Imam and I recited the ziarat at the end of the program. Just being in the haram on this day was a great honour and it felt very emotional to be invited by a king. When we arrived in Karbala, we went to the haram and when we saw the domes of imam Hussein it felt amazing, we realised again how blessed we were to be in Iraq. We were really standing in Bain al Haramain, on the battlefield of Karbala, where Imam and his army walked. Any second we were away from the haram felt like a second wasted. Now that I am back, I miss being at the haram everyday.

My experience with F2J: Assalamun Alaikum, My name is Hanna Zahra Alidina and I am 8 years old. I travelled to Iraq for ziarat in March 2018 with my Baba, Mama, my Bhaijaan and my little sister Ayana Maryam. I really enjoyed being with F2J for ziarat because it had everything for children. Before I got to know everyone in our ziarat group I was feeling a bit shy, but as soon as I started to make friends and get to know everyone I felt we were a family. F2J was a wonderful group for my family especially for me. The activities, the wonderful reciters, the comfort of the coaches made it easy to concentrate and get involved. I didn’t find anything difficult. Lectures by the syed were easy for me to understand but also very informative and done in a short space of time so it was effective and I didn’t get restless. I enjoyed how Zakira used her puppet, Zainab in some of her lectures. It made it fun but I was learning so much. Before we went to visit the orphanage she gave us all lots of different gifts (stationary, necklace, and some fragrance on the back of our hand). The visit to Ayatollah Sistani was amazing. He gave us all his blessings and Duas. Visiting all the shrines has left us with beautiful memories. I’m thankful to my Imam for inviting me to do his ziarat and I pray to him I can return again very soon because I miss visiting the shrines. I am very grateful to Imam Ali, Imam Hussain, Hazrat Abbas and Imam Mahdi for giving me my strength to complete all my ziarat. I am also grateful to F2J for helping through out my ziarat trip and ask Allah to bless them.

We had delayed taking a family ziyarat trip for a few years, always thinking the children were too young, and were not yet able to appreciate the reverence and special nature of such a journey. Alhamdulillah, that all changed when we decided to join Footsteps 2 Jannah on their recent trip to Iraq in April of 2018. The experience was one we will always treasure. The top-notch reciters, the child-friendly schedule, the care and concern of the volunteers, and the ability for the children to experience everything with a group of their peers, made for an experience unlike anything we could have imagined or anticipated. We would have been satisfied with participating in a spiritually uplifting experience for our children, but the icing on the cake was that the journey was fulfilling for us on a spiritual level as well. We thank Allah for the ability to partake in this pilgrimage, as well as the blessings that have come from being part of our newfound ziyarat family.
